Effective 7 October 2026. This notice describes the current PuppyTalk iOS app. PuppyTalk is responsible for the personal data described below. Contact: ari@wasch.com.
The app asks for permission before its first AI upload. OpenAI receives the selected photo and hint for analysis and script creation, and may process text for moderation or speech. When you request a video, Replicate or fal.ai receives the photo and dialogue or generated audio needed to produce it. AI-generated speech is fictional entertainment; it does not reveal a dog's actual thoughts.
Vercel hosts the backend and private media storage; Neon provides the database. RevenueCat verifies purchases and entitlements. Superwall provides paywalls and related purchase-flow analytics. Apple provides the App Store, payment processing and device permissions. These services may process identifiers, content or technical information needed for their respective functions. Their retention practices can differ from ours:
The current iOS app does not use AdMob or Google Play Services. We do not sell your photos or use them in advertising. Your use of the native share sheet sends the selected video to the destination you choose, whose privacy practices then apply.
The system photo picker gives us access to the items you select. Camera access is optional. Saving a video requests add-only Photos permission. Permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.
Photos and videos are stored privately to support your history; access links expire. You can delete a generation in My Videos or use the app's data-deletion action to remove your stored app records and associated media. A running generation must finish before it can be deleted. Copies you save to Photos or share elsewhere are outside this deletion action. Deleting app data does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Limited anti-abuse and allowance records may remain after deletion to prevent repeated free trials or subscription allowance resets. Providers may retain billing records, security logs or backups under their own retention requirements. We retain support correspondence and other information only as needed for support, security, legal obligations and resolving disputes. Contact us about information you cannot remove in the app.
Where applicable, we rely on providing the service you request for essential processing, consent for optional AI uploads and device permissions, and legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention and improving reliability. We may also process information to meet legal obligations. Declining AI processing means the AI creation feature cannot operate.
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent for future optional processing. Email ari@wasch.com; we may need information to verify your app identity. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under applicable transfer arrangements.
PuppyTalk is not intended for children under 13. Only upload photos you have permission to use. Contact us if a child has provided personal data. We will update this page when our practices change and provide additional notice where required.
